This is a meeting of four imaginary musicians that occurred solely for the recording of this album. Tireless travelers, they met in various studios and stages around the world. Initially, they formed an improvised quartet that began playing in bars that chance suggested. Little by little, they collected fragments of those jam sessions, guarded like a secret code, a secret they would reveal to no one. The lyrics emerged in hotels where each of them stayed. One day, they gathered to share what each had accomplished. Much of the lyrics revealed an interpretation of the precarious conditions of the planet and the way humanity was losing its luster. They then adjusted details, harmonies, timbres, tempos, and vocal effects. During those moments, they also composed other songs, totaling 26 astonishing musical pieces. The title came from one of them, The Origin of the Disasters, written by the four based on this verse that defined the spirit of the album: There is never a prospect of human greatness / when we have before us the blind lines of the earth. There was born the most secret of all codes: a score of wonders in the blind lines of the Earth.
